Day of Silence
Day of Silence is a student-driven day of silent activism focused on reclaiming the void caused by the systematic erasure and silencing of voices in the LGBTQIA+ community in schools and colleges nationwide. This day-long observance is concluded with a Breaking the Silence event where students, educators, and community members tell their stories and develop strategies to drive impactful change. Nationally recognized, it occurs annually, usually on the second Friday of April, but can vary.
